Raymond Hou’s public work spans five formats: writing, courses, podcasts, videos, and communities. It began with Facebook writing in 2014, took off on Medium in 2017, and became more systematic after he founded the Raymond Thirty brand in 2020. This page indexes his body of work by medium and theme and serves as a guide to individual entries. Background and business details for products have their own projects/ entries; this page links to them without repeating those details. Figures and dates follow RAYMOND_TIMELINE.md.

Writing: Blog and Newsletter

Writing was Raymond’s earliest and densest medium. His blog has accumulated more than 300 long-form articles. In 2021, he moved from Medium to self-hosted WordPress (lifehacker.tw / raymondhouch.com), organizing posts into topics such as digital workflows, freelance work, life reflections, interviews, smart homes, and product reviews. The “Who Is X?” series introduces other knowledge workers in the third person and is Raymond’s regular format for profiles; “Raymond Hou User Manual” is the backbone of his personal-brand introduction. The newsletter line is led by Raymond Weekly Newsletter (Raymond Weekly), which started with about 100 subscribers in its first month in 2020 and grew into a core reader asset for the brand. Raymond sees writing as an investment rather than literary creation: “turn tacit knowledge into explicit assets so that one block of time can be sold many times.” For the underlying belief, see Writing Is the Best Investment for Ordinary People.

Courses: Systematizing Methodology

Courses are the medium through which Raymond consolidates scattered methods into a system. The Super Individual’s Way of Working (55-Unit Online Course) (The Super Individual’s Way of Working) is a 55-unit flagship online course built around the KIT Model (Knowledge, Influence, Time). It opened for crowdfunding in June 2025 and launched in September, synthesizing seven years of building a business from scratch. Earlier courses include Notion Online Courses and Boot Camp (which later served more than 10,000 students), ChatGPT Work Methods (with the original TRIRO prompting framework), The Complete Guide to AI Automation Tools, and the earliest “Cloud Productivity Tools” course on Hahow. There are also mini-courses on specific topics such as remote work and getting started with Heptabase. For full course summaries, see SOLOPRENEUR_INDEX.md.

New Mediums in 2026: Book, Flagship Course, and Free Tools

In 2026, Raymond’s output shifted toward three concurrent lines. The first is a book: beginning in the first half of 2026, he devoted time to a manuscript on the Super Individual theme and publicly explained that writing and course preparation had taken most of his energy, delaying the student gathering planned for that year. 1 2 The second is a flagship online course about AI Agents. A Claude Code mini-course launched in April 2026 and had served more than 5,000 people. From July onward, Raymond published preparation notes under the title “Posting Every Day Until the AI Agent Cohort Program Launches.” Topics included content production with human–AI collaboration, extracting an AI double, and delivering workflows. Enrollment started with priority for former students: free trial livestreams for mini-course students were planned for late July, with full-price enrollment from August. The course was positioned as long-term coaching rather than one-off content. The AI double’s self-introduction video that opened the trial class was also produced by Raymond’s AI double, making the delivery format itself a demonstration of the course’s premise. By early September 2026, all main-course content was live. Raymond explained why this might be his “last tool course”: when AI can meet more than 80 percent of an individual’s needs for learning tools and customized instruction, a course’s irreplaceable value is no longer simply teaching tool operations, but providing support in real situations and systematic workflows. 3 The third line is free tools: Raymond released small tools developed while preparing courses or for his own use, including an open-source writing Skill that removes AI-sounding prose, a front-end-only Meta post selector, and “Super Individual Consultant,” a question-and-answer AI based on his own course. These lines provide material for one another and continue his The Brand Flywheel: Let A Help B and C (brand flywheel) approach: one investment supports content, products, and tools at the same time.

Podcasts and Videos

Raymond Thirty Podcast began in March 2020. Its first season centered on stories of companies of one and interviews with people approaching 30, documenting career exploration before that age. The podcast returned for a third season in 2023 and was the brand’s early home for oral storytelling. Video is carried by the 柚智夫妻 channel (see 柚智夫妻 YouTube Channel). A 2023 video series about a fully smart home surpassed one million views in a week and was shared by Eastern News, making video a high-reach medium for the brand. 4 From 2026, video topics shifted toward AI Agent and Claude Code tutorials.

Community and Origins Collection

Social-media posts are a backbone and real-time record of Raymond’s creative timeline, spanning Facebook, Threads, and Instagram, with more than 300 posts dating back as far as 2014. The brand’s origins collection is the 柚智夫妻 WeChat public account from 2018 to 2020. Its daily “365-Day Countdown” series documented the couple’s experiments before moving to Beijing. For background, see 柚智夫妻 WeChat Public Account (2018–2020) and Writing Takes Off (2017–2018).

Software and System Works

Raymond’s output is not limited to written content; it also includes functioning systems. Lifehacker Premium is a paid membership subscription service that has operated for more than six years. Smart Work Home is a home automation system using Home Assistant to integrate more than 20 devices and over 50 scenarios. Since 2026, he has also worked on the AI double Raymond’s AI Double, building his personal LifeOS from scratch with Claude Code. This line reflects a recurring pattern: turn a problem he encounters into a reusable tool or system.

Shared Themes Across Mediums

Regardless of medium, Raymond’s work repeatedly returns to several themes: operating systems for Super Individual (Super Individuals) and companies of one; prioritizing attention over time and money; integrating work and life; and using tools and AI to amplify individual expertise. These themes reference and support one another across different works, making the complete collection a cross-searchable personal methodology rather than a set of disconnected pieces. See the concept pages Super Individual, Business Thinking, Writing, and Second Brain.

Key Figures

Milestone figures use the “Key Figures at a Glance” table in RAYMOND_TIMELINE.md as the single source of truth. They include more than 300 blog posts, 55 units in the Super Individual course, more than 25,000 Raymond Weekly subscribers, more than 12,000 Notion Boot Camp students, and more than 500 talks and teaching sessions. See Key Figures at a Glance. Dates and definitions follow that table; this page does not maintain a separate set of figures.
